2019 ACSA Leadership Summit

We all realize we are currently preparing students for jobs that don’t exist, to use technologies that have not yet been invented, and to solve problems we don’t yet know are problems. There are critical steps school districts need to take now to prepare students for their future education and career experiences. Specific skillsets are in demand, but in order to ensure students are college-successful and globally competitive, the change must begin at the elementary level.
After researching 21st-century exemplary elementary schools in California, we strategically integrated key approaches in a 100% Title 1 school. This year (2019), we were one of 18 schools in the country to become a designated 21st century exemplar.
